The role of the Department of Environmental Health and Safety (EHS) is to advise and consult in matters relating to the health and safety of faculty, staff, students, and visitors, and in matters related to regulatory compliance programs for campus administrative and academic activities. EHS functions in direct support of the teaching, research, and public service mission of Howard University.
